THE PHOTOS AND BIO'S ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING UPDATED TO INCLUDE ALL STAFF AFTER SIGNIFICANT TURNOVER
Bill Nance heads the entire cart staff. He hails from Baltimore, Md. and lives in Beulaville. Bill retired from the Marines after serving as Finance Chief, 2 tours as a Drill Instructor and as a Trainer in Officer Candidate School. Bill and his wife keep busy with their two beautiful daughters and, of course, their grandkids. When meeting Bill you will quickly learn that Bill “loves golf” and when the little ball needs a rest Bill takes the big ball for a roll, because Bill also “loves to bowl”. Bill’s proudest accomplishment was becoming a Christian. Bill has an associate degree in Golf Course Management and is now working on his greatest desire, getting his card to become a Golf Pro.
Larry grew up in Huntington, West Virginia and received a degree from Marshall. After school Larry went into the Army for 9 years. He was still pursuing his destiny when he got accepted into the Utah School of Medicine where he graduated as a Physician Assistant. That position led to many stops across the states, working in Arizona, Kansas, Florida and North Carolina in ER medicine. In his last North Carolina stop, he reunited with a friend from the past which led to marrying Carol just two years ago. Carol was a key factor in the decision to settle down, along with the fact that his family expanded to 4 grown kids and 5 grand children. He retired from Southeastern ER Group Physicians in Wilmington where he had worked for 7 years. Larry's role at River Landing is perfect, as it gives him a 3-day a week work commitment (Wed., Fri., and Sat) and a place to golf. He will make sure your golf game will get off to a good start.
Nick hails from Rose Hill. He is currently a junior at Wallace-Rose Hill High School and is really looking forward to his senior year. Nick's favorite things to do are football (Offensive and Defensive Tackle) and firefighting. He is a member of the Rose Hill firefighting unit. Upon graduation he hopes to attend Cape Fear Community College and major in firefighting.
Paul Frank joins our staff after 42 years and 3 months working for GE-Global Nuclear Fuel in Castle Hayne. Paul was a maintenance planner and coordinator for GE. He calls Burgaw home and enjoys working 2-3 days at River Landing (and so does his wife).
William (Bill) James
Bill James has joined us after retiring from Campbell Oil & Gas. He has worked for them 32 years. He hails from Burgaw (born & raised). He joined the cart staff to keep active and not be under foot at home. He loves golf and fishing.
